ear infection. Yup, Connor has “the start of an ear infection in his left ear.” I’m glad we caught it when we did, rather than have it get any worse, but the poor baby is still very uncomfortable. He is finally napping (at 4:30). He was so uncomfortable earlier that he only cat-napped. We also [...] So the appointment: I was down two pounds, belly measured at 40.5cm (up 1.5cm from Thursday), cervix 1-2cm, effaced 70-80%, and I don’t remember where baby was in the pelvis, I don’t think she mentioned and I forgot to ask. After the most excruciating pain from her stripping membranes (thankfully it didn’t take nearly as [...] We had an appointment on Thursday and I’ve been meaning to post an update but haven’t been able to get to it. Here it is: Dr. Carver estimates the baby is between 8-8.5 pounds, we are dilated 1cm but also 70% effaced and baby is at -2. She “mixed things up down there” (stripped the membranes) [...] So, this week has been interesting to say the least. On Monday I lost my engagement ring and wedding bands (they are all soldered together). I have no recollection of them at all, so I’m not entirely sure what happened to them. On Tuesday we had our first real doctor appointment! It was the first time [...] We had our first appointment this morning. We decided to go to Innovis and Dakota Clinic because they have two midwifes there. This appointment was just a run-through of our medical histories and we went over some questions, and stuff to know about being pregnant, plus did some lab work, the results of which we’ll find [...] In case anyone missed it, our first appointment, an intake appointment, is next Friday, March 16th at 11am. Our second appointment is Tuesday, April 3rd, at 10:45am. We have chosen to go through Dakota Clinic at Innovis and are currently signed up to be with a midwife. ~Jaci |
