First Year as a Daddy

I can’t believe it’s already been a year since I became a daddy. I tell everyone it’s been the longest, fastest year of my life. I can’t believe how fast Connor has grown! It’s been too fast!

Things I loved

• His personality
• His giggle & laugh
• Bath time
• Rocking/bouncing him to sleep
• Laying next to him while he slept

Things I hated

• Ear infections
• Teething
• Hearing his ‘pain’ cry

Things I miss

• Holding him and rocking him to sleep (I get to do this once in awhile now and when I do I cherish it).

Things I look forward to

• Watching his personality develop even more
• Watching him walk
• Reading to him before bedtime

I am amazed everyday by how much emotion Connor has. He has a huge smile that really lights up a room and along with his giggle and laugh can make any bad day you’re having instantly better. I look forward to coming home at lunch and at the end of the day to him crawling over to see daddy with the happiest look on his face.
